Call Directions Website

Fair Lawn Rescue Squad Rescue is a volunteer organization dedicated to serving the borough of Fair Lawn and surrounding communities. Welcome to the Fair Lawn Rescue Squad’s website.

The squad’s mission statement says that we are “a volunteer organization created for the purpose of preserving life and property through the provision of emergency and non-emergency rescue service in the Borough of Fair Lawn.” The Rescue Squad is a division of the Fair Lawn Office of Emergency Management (OEM), which is a municipal office of the Borough of Fair Lawn. This website has been developed to educate you about the services that we provide, articles of both past and present events, and provide informative information about the Rescue Squad. The Rescue Squad operates out of one building that is owned and maintained by the Rescue Squad Association. Each year our fund drive committee distributes two mailings seeking donations. The donations are used to maintain our building, complete projects, support our youth squad, provide financial assistance to a graduating senior through our scholarship program, and to maintain the day to day operations of the rescue squad.

This morning, Rescue was dispatched to McBride Avenue for two individuals who were stranded on the roof of their vehicle after it became surrounded by floodwaters.

A crew from Rescue entered the floodwaters with a boat and safely reached both individuals, removing them from the roof and bringing them to dry land.

Thankfully, both individuals were brought to safety unharmed

Yesterday, members of Rescue attended three separate September 11th remembrance ceremonies throughout the day.

In the morning, members attended a very meaningful ceremony at the Fair Lawn Senior Center, hosted by their dedicated staff.

In the afternoon, members attended Fisher Scientific’s first-ever September 11th remembrance service, honoring and remembering those who lost their lives.

We ended the day at the Borough of Fair Lawn’s September 11th ceremony, where our community came together to remember the three Fair Lawn residents we lost 25 years ago.

Today we remember.
Twenty-five years later, the loss remains profound—the 343 firefighters, the police officers, the EMTs, and the thousands of civilians who never came home. Their absence still shapes the lives of the families, the departments, and the communities left behind.
Respect to the members of Fair Lawn Rescue Squad and Fire Co. 2 who answered the call that day and went into Manhattan. That decision, and the service that followed, deserves to be remembered with gratitude.
We do not forget🇺🇸
