Pharmacy Update:

Once the servers were restored after yesterday’s regional Q-Flow outage, we experienced a very unfortunate result -- All prescription data entered on Tuesday the 13th was removed.

Patients who would normally expect a one-day turnaround will not have prescriptions ready for pick-up today. We also highly recommend that patients who either submitted prescriptions via Q-Anywhere or dropped off prescriptions, re-submit them remotely using the app.

If your prescription IS ready for pick-up, a message will be sent.

On Monday, October 12, in observation of the federal holiday - outpatient clinics, the lab and our pharmacies will be closed.

The emergency room at WPMC remains open 24/7 for any urgent medical needs, along with our inpatient services.

You can also visit https://mhsnurseadviceline.com or dial 1-800-TRICARE (874-2273) for 24/7 assistance and the VIPRR vurtual urgent care clinic is available for specific healthcare needs M-F 6:30am-11:30pm for TRICARE Prime beneficiaries ages 12+ through the NAL.

Additionally, in alignment with the recent directive guidance from the Secretary of War regarding the upcoming Military Voting Stand Down, our Medical Group will operate with minimal manning on Wednesday, October 14th.

Patients with scheduled surgeries and appointments in primary and specialty clinics have been (or will be) contacted regarding the status of their appointments. The ER is open as always. The pharmacies and lab are open, but will be running with minimal staff. Please plan for slightly longer wait times than usual. We appreciate your patience!

The Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System, or DEERS, will be temporarily unavailable this weekend. The planned outage is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Friday, Oct. 9, and end Sunday, Oct. 11.

The Defense Manpower Data Center is updating DEERS, and it will be moving to a new cloud environment.

DEERS is a database of information about military personnel, Defense Department and military service civilians and their family members. To get Tricare coverage, beneficiaries must be registered in DEERS.

Beneficiaries who need to make changes, or who need to check their information in DEERS, should do so before the weekend by visiting milconnect before 9 p.m. Friday.

This year’s Tricare Open Season begins Nov. 9 and ends Dec. 8. During that time, beneficiaries can enroll in or change their health plan for the next year. Changes made during open season will take effect Jan. 1, 2027.

As of the week of October 5th, we have not received our allocated doses (high-risk, standard, or pediatric) of the flu vaccine from the Defense Logistics Agency. We will share the distribution plan with our beneficiaries as soon as they arrive. Thank you for your patience.
