October is National Weatherization Month. Mike and the rest of our Weatherization crew are experts in cutting energy bills and making homes safer and healthier for residents.
It's also important to them that every day they are putting hard work into rural housing and making a difference for people in our area.
If that sounds like your sort of thing, visit Careers at BVCA.net to apply.

Kim Clark's BVCA journey actually began long before 2006. Fresh out of high school, she joined the agency in 1989 as the Receptionist and Administrative Assistant to the CEO. Over the years, Kim left BVCA a couple of times, but thankfully she always found her way back. When she returned in 2006, she apparently decided that BVCA was where she belonged and came back with a plan to stay forever. While we are officially recognizing her 20-year service award based on her most recent return date, the truth is Kim has been part of the BVCA family for well over 20 years.
As BVCA's Housing Director, Kim brings tremendous knowledge, experience, and passion to her work. Throughout her tenure, she has expanded housing opportunities for the individuals and families we serve by securing funding for Housing Counseling services, developing a Purchase/Rehab/Resale program, and most recently pursuing additional funding opportunities that could allow BVCA to provide radon mitigation and lead remediation services in our communities.
Kim's expertise and dedication have not gone unnoticed. In 2025, she was recognized as NIFA's Property Manager of the Year, and she is also a Certified Community Action Professional, demonstrating her commitment to excellence in serving others.
Over the years, Kim has truly done it all. She has managed properties, provided housing counseling, cleaned apartments and houses alongside the maintenance team to prepare them for new residents, leased units, written countless grants, and helped families achieve the dream of homeownership. There are very few aspects of housing that Kim hasn't experienced firsthand.
Kim, thank you for your dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment to Blue Valley Community Action. Your knowledge, leadership, and passion have strengthened our agency and improved the lives of countless individuals and families over the years. We are grateful for your service and proud to celebrate this milestone with you today.
Please join me in congratulating Kim Clark on her 20 years of service to Blue Valley Community Action!
