U.S. Department of State has issued demobilization orders for the 10-member USA-01 team deployed to Panama. The team departs Panama City tomorrow, October 21, and will return home to Fairfax County by commercial air.

Working alongside the Embajada de Estados Unidos en Panamá, the State Department DART, the U.S. military (U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) & Joint Task Force-Bravo), Panamanian officials, and international partners, the team assessed earthquake damage across Panama City, Santiago, and the Azuero Peninsula.

They completed 199 structural assessments and identified 26 facilities as unsafe for occupancy pending repairs.

The 10 members evaluated hospitals, clinics, schools, government buildings, homes, and transportation infrastructure, giving Panamanian authorities critical information to safely restore essential services.
Thank you to our members and their families. We look forward to welcoming you home!
