The Leading Hands 4-H Club met on Sunday. During their meeting, a few of the members gave presentations. Pictured are presentations about how to make Halloween treats and the steps to making Pesto.

Following the meeting, members went shopping at Walmart to purchase supplies for stocking their little food pantry in Libertyville. 🍀

Last week, our SPIN Clubs worked on identifying leaves and creating their leaf notebooks and making beaded keychains. This week is the last week for these SPIN clubs, and then STEM and Cooking will start on October 30. Open to all 4th-12th grade students. 🍀🍂

Again this year, we will be participating in the Region 26 food drive! This is a fun contest to see which county (Davis, Jefferson, Van Buren, or Wapello) can collect the most food for their local food pantry. Simply drop off items to our office. We will keep track of how many items we get and drop them off to the Lord's Cupboard. Then, we will see how our results compare to the counties around us. 🥫🥫🥫🥫🥫

🎨🚜 Calling All Jefferson County 4-H Members! 🚜🎨

Do you have a creative side? Here's your chance to have your artwork featured on the cover of the 2027 Greater Jefferson County Fair Book!

The 2027 Fair theme is "Trucks, Tractors, and Traditions", and we're looking for a one-of-a-kind cover design created by a Jefferson County 4-H member.

✅ Hand-drawn or digitally created
✅ Must be the 4-H member's original work
✅ Include:
• 2027 Greater Jefferson County Fair
• "Trucks, Tractors, and Traditions"
• 4-H member's name

📝 Entries should be submitted on an 8" x 11" sheet of white paper and may be in color.

📅 Deadline: November 11, 2026, by 4:30 PM at the Jefferson County Extension Office. ⏰ No late entries will be accepted.

🏆 The Jefferson County Fair Board will select one winning design to be featured as the official cover of the 2027 Fair Book!
