The JSE would like to give a huge shout out to the three SHU students who stopped to help a person in distress on Stratfield Road yesterday. Prior to our arrival the three ladies rolled the person on his side to help protect his airway and ensure he was breathing okay. They waited by his side, covered him with a jacket to keep him warm, and protected him from further injury due to a medical emergency. As we arrived on scene and took over patient care they quietly slipped away before we could get their names and properly thank them for their assistance. Well done ladies. You showed the true meaning of community.

The JSE is excited that our kitchen renovation project is now underway. It is the first renovation of the kitchen in nearly 30 years. Thank you to our friends at Fairfield Public Works for handling the plumbing and electrical works for the project.
