The City of Fairfield Fire Department is looking for qualified candidates to join our team as Firefighter/Paramedics at both the entry and lateral levels.

This recruitment will establish an eligibility list to fill current and future Firefighter/Paramedic vacancies within the department.

Lateral-level Firefighter/Paramedic applicants are defined as current full-time Firefighter/Paramedics who have successfully completed their probationary period at an all-risk Advanced Life Support (ALS) fire agency with no breaks in service.

Today, Fairfield Firefighters, both current and retired, attended the annual California Firefighters Memorial Ceremony in Sacramento, to pay respect to all of the fallen firefighters and their families, including our lost brother Christopher Bell.

Fairfield Firefighters on Engine 36 as well as our Prevention Bureau, Explorer and Reserve members, participated in the Home Depot Safety Days this morning. The kids loved the equipment and the Firefighter kids course.
