The Fairfield DTC is the official body of the Fairfield Democratic Party. Our mission is to elect Democrats to our local, state, and federal government. As Democrats, we work to both preserve and improve the quality of life in our town. As such, we develop and support fiscally responsible candidates committed to promoting economic growth, funding our excellent town services and school system while maintaining Fairfield as a great place to live for all of its citizens. At the DTC’s monthly meetings (posted on our website), our town and state officials update us on the issues important to Fairfield.

"We’d argue that Ms. Hau is showing up online as a bully because she simply cannot–or will not–show up on her merits alone."

We live in an age where people feel emboldened to behave as "keyboard warriors." It's unfortunate enough when private citizens engage in this kind of shallow conduct and thinking. But when the behavior comes from those seeking public office, it's even more egregious.

Character counts. Snarkiness isn't a substitute for capability.

"Rob's experience in local government has also given him a practical understanding of how policy decisions affect families and communities," writes Fairfield RTM Rep, Cindy Waldron.

State Senator is a big job, one in which you can only be effective if you show up on day one with experience, understanding of complex issues that affect real people, and the willingness to do all the homework required ahead of time.

Democrat Rob Blanchard is the candidate on the ballot who checks all those boxes.

Fairfield RTM member Tracy Rodriguez regards State Senate candidate Rob Blanchard as, "someone who would pick up a call, return a text or email and have thoughtful, fact-based responses with a deep knowledge of CT policy history."

Rob shows voters and colleagues again and again that he shows up with knowledge, humanity, and a willingness to do the work needed to keep improving things for his constituents.

Early voting is happening NOW and Election Day is November 3.

Vote for the candidates who will put their hard work, consistency, and energy into getting things done for you, not stoking division and grievence.

Actions show you who a candidate is. "At a time when politics can too often seem defined by division and negativity," writes Fairfield resident and Board of Finance member. "I value elected officials who remain focused on the practical work of serving their constituents. Sarah brings that perspective to Hartford while never losing sight of the people back home whom she was elected to represent.

Early voting is happening now! Election Day is less than two weeks away. Vote ROW A for Democratic candidates like Sarah Keitt who show up with the integrity, the knowledge, and the determination to fight for you.

Fairfield, you heard from the candidates at Monday’s Rotary Candidate Forum.
Republican State Senate candidate Amybeth LaRoche’s stunned silence when asked about the UI Monopole issue speaks volumes.

Democratic candidate Rob Blanchard, by contrast, showed up articulate, prepared, and ready to represent you.

Who do you think is ready to go to Hartford?

Nutmegger Oil Group members are unknowingly funding generous compensation for Republican candidate Emily Hau.

Despite proclaiming on social media that she negotiates these oil contracts “for free,” the RFP she sent out to local oil companies this past spring shows that she and her partner “require a hefty compensation package that includes, for each of them, a fee of $15000, after tax, up to 1,500 gallons of ‘free’ oil, and ‘free’ service plans covering their oil, AC, and hot water heater systems, which adds up to at least $20,000 of benefits each year.”

While Fairfield residents grapple with the high cost of home heating as we go into the winter months, Emily Hau profits, while telling you she does this work “for free.”

We deserve a State Rep. who fights on our behalf rather than trying to profit off us.

"A state Senate seat is not an entry-level position," writes Fairfield resident, Robert Clark, after attending the Candidate Forum at the Rotary Club of Fairfield on Monday, October 19.

In addition to his work in Hartford, "[Rob] has done the local work, serving on Fairfield’s Representative Town Meeting and, earlier, on Middletown's Planning and Zoning Commission. He is focused on what is squeezing families in the district: the cost of living, affordable health care, access to pre-K, and holding utility companies accountable," says Clark.

In contrast, Clark found Rob Blanchard's () Republican opponent's debate performance "unprepared, [she] fumbled several answers...Add it up, and the picture is of a candidate who doesn’t yet grasp what this job requires, who will struggle to make her case to colleagues, and likely won’t get much done."

Fairfield deserves a prepared and polished fighter. Fairfield deserves Rob Blanchard for State Senator.
