The public is invited to participate in a paranormal investigation of Camp Floyd. Because of the popularity of this program, four sessions will be conducted this year with each date limited to 40 participants. Admission fees are $10 per person and reservations are required. Participants are encouraged to view the museums at Camp Floyd during daylight beginning at 6 pm, with the event starting at 7:00 PM and ending at 9:00 PM. Participants are encouraged to bring their own flashlights, recorders, cameras, digital and infrared cameras where park staff will assist participants in the use of their equipment in finding paranormal orbs, mists and sounds. A brief presentation will be conducted to familiarize participants with paranormal investigating techniques and findings as the investigation starts. All participants will be invited to present their findings at the conclusion of the investigation and will have the opportunity of viewing photographs along with other paranormal evidence gathered at this historic site. Admission fees are $10 per person and reservations are required. For more information please email [email protected].

One of the joys of park staff during the hot summer months is providing our historic day camps which focus on the story of the Utah War, the march to Utah by Johnston's Army, the setup of Camp Floyd and the start of the Civil War. These day camps focus on the stories of built friendships with fellow soldiers while serving together and the reality of how some of these friendships were lost with soldiers fighting on opposite sides during the Civil War. There is just one more day camp this year August 4-6, 2026. For more information please visit campfloyd.utah.gov. Because of the State going into Stage 2 fire restrictions tonight at midnight the campfire program being held Friday night at 6:00 PM will be held at the school and without a campfire. We will still share the amazing history and stories of Camp Floyd and Fairfield but without the campfire and smores. Remember the park is open 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday through Saturday.
