Several months ago, we unveiled the new cruiser graphics for the Fairlawn Police Department, and some of you may have already spotted the updated design around town!

For many, many years, the look of our cruisers, uniforms, and emblems remained largely unchanged. Over the last couple of years, we’ve been making incremental updates to modernize our appearance while maintaining the identity and tradition of the Fairlawn Police Department.

You’ll begin seeing more of the new cruiser design as we gradually transition our fleet when vehicles are replaced. This will be a process over time, so don’t be surprised to see a mix of old and new designs on the road!

From November 1–11, we invite our community to join the Fairlawn VFW Post 349 each morning at 11:00 a.m. in front of Fairlawn City Hall for a meaningful tribute honoring our nation's veterans. Each day, we will place 22 dog tags on the Witness Tree, symbolizing the estimated average of 22 veterans who die by su***de each day in the United States.

The Witness Tree, an initiative of Warriors Journey Home, serves as a powerful reminder of the ongoing crisis of veteran su***de, especially as we approach Veterans Day. Each dog tag represents a life, a sacrifice, and a reminder that our veterans deserve our continued support long after their service ends.

Everyone is welcome to join us on any of these mornings to participate in this symbolic memorial. Whether you are a veteran, a family member, or a member of our community who wants to show support, your presence matters. 🇺🇸
