Fairview Fire and Rescue Volunteer fire department serving Fairview Township Life is irreplaceable and will always be our priority over all duties and tasks.

Fairview Fire and Rescue has been proudly serving Fairview Township, Erie County, Pennsylvania since its foundation in 1933. As per our mission statement, Fairview Fire and Rescue is dedicated to the preservation of life and property. We will act in a professional manner treating all with dignity and respect in all phases of life with all that we do. We will provide care and comfort to those in need, and training to improve our skills to reduce the loss of life and property. We shall maintain a welcome relationship with those in our community and surrounding areas. Our organization provides fire, rescue, and EMS services to the residents of not only Fairview Township, but also neighboring municipalities when requested. Our department is active with some type of response, or multiple responses, nearly everyday. For example, in 2021 we ran a total of 1,172 calls over the duration of the year, and this number is expected to grow by the end of 2022. When the department was founded in 1933, the residents of Fairview purchased a Chevy pickup truck that was converted into our very first pumper. Today, we currently possess one BLS ambulance, two engines, one rescue, one tanker, and one QRS/utility vehicle. Station 52, our main station for daily operations, is located at 7190 West Ridge Road. Our secondary station, Station 53, houses our backup apparatus and serves as a West County Paramedic Post Location. Our AmazonSmile link can be found at: https://tinyurl.com/27D85YRJ

Reminder: Countywide Outdoor Warning Siren Test this Thursday, October 15.

At 12 Noon this Thursday, October 15, Erie County Department of Public Safety will conduct a scheduled test of the countywide outdoor warning siren system.

Residents may hear sirens activated in communities across the county during this time. This is only a test, and there is no emergency.

These quarterly tests are held in January, April, July, and October to ensure that our warning system remains reliable and ready to support public safety.

The Erie County Department of Public Safety appreciates your cooperation and help in keeping our community informed and prepared.

Thank you for helping SHARE this reminder!

Today as part of Fire Prevention Week, Fairview Lake Shore Fire Department visited the students at FES for Fire Safety and Prevention. 🚒 🔥🧑🏽‍🚒

Students learned essential fire safety information in the LGI like when to call 911 and the importance of having a family meeting place, then got to get hands-on outside checking out Rescue 539 and Engine 502, as well as West County ambulance 116. 🚑

A special thanks to our members for volunteering their time and Fairview Elementary School for having us to share about fire safety!

Today, our trucks sit at A.F. Dobler Hose & Ladder Co.’s station—not because of an emergency, but because sometimes the fire service means simply being there for one another.

As our brothers and sisters at Dobler Hose mourn the loss of one of their junior members, we’re honored to stand watch, cover their calls, and give them the time they need to come together and remember one of their own.

Your community is covered. Take care of your family. We’ve got the watch.

Our thoughts are with the entire Dobler Hose family. ❤️🚒

Tonight for drill Fairview Lake Shore Fire Department members ran through a mock structure fire at Station 52 (if you drove past and saw all the lights, it was just practice we promise). 🙃

Crews practiced different scenarios and operations like they were on a real fire scene including:

🔥 Scene size-ups
🔥 Hose deployment
🔥 Communications and maydays
🔥 Basement and roof ops

If responding to structure fires, motor vehicle accidents or rope rescues interests you, join us for drill nights at 6:30 pm to learn more! 🚒

Please consider donating on Tuesday, August 11th from midnight to midnight online, and 8 AM to 8 PM via phone.

As you may already know, Fairview Fire & Rescue and Lake Shore Fire Department have merged to form Fairview Lake Shore Fire Department. As part of this transition, you will begin seeing the Fairview Lake Shore Fire Department name used in communications, publications, and other correspondence.

However, during this transition period, we ask that this year’s donations be directed to the legacy department you have traditionally supported. This will help reduce confusion and ensure a smooth financial transition as the newly merged organization completes the integration of administrative and financial systems.

Thank you!
