If you saw us out at the Baptist Church today, you may have noticed the members of Fall Branch Volunteer Fire Department conducting our annual hose testing. 🚒

Regular inspection and service testing of our fire hose is an important part of maintaining our equipment and keeping it ready for the job. These inspections and tests are conducted in accordance with applicable NFPA standards and help ensure our hose is in good working condition when we need it most.

A lot of work goes on behind the scenes to keep our trucks and equipment ready to respond at a moment’s notice. We appreciate the support and understanding of our community as we take the time to properly maintain our equipment.

This evening Fall Branch Volunteer Fire Department was able to have a training exercise with the Tennessee Department of Agriculture Forestry Division (TDF).

Living and serving in a rural, heavily wooded area means wildland fire training is especially important. The skills and techniques practiced this evening have proven useful in the past and will continue to help us better protect our community when the need arises.

A special thank you to the Tennessee Division of Forestry for taking the time to train alongside our members and share their knowledge and experience. We greatly appreciate the partnership and continued support!

SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 — WE REMEMBER.

Twenty-five years later, we still remember the morning that changed our nation forever.

We remember the innocent lives taken far too soon.
We remember the families who woke up that day and never came home to the same world.
We remember the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, paramedics, and countless others who ran toward danger while others were running away.

We remember the courage.
We remember the sacrifice.
We remember the brotherhood.
And we remember the price that was paid.

For those of us who wear the uniform today, September 11th is more than a date in history. It is a reminder of the responsibility we carry every time the tones drop, and we answer the call.

We hold fast to Psalm 46:1: “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”

We pray for the families who continue to carry the loss. We honor those who gave everything. And we stand firmly behind every first responder who continues to serve their community with courage and selflessness.

May we never allow the years to make us forget.
Remember the lives.
Honor the sacrifice.
Teach the next generation.
Never forget.
