Effective August 7th at 12:01 AM, King County will implement a Stage 2 Burn Ban until further notice.

Given the current weather conditions and high fire risk, a Stage 2 Burn Ban is now in place (August 7, 2026) until further notice.

Under a Stage 2 Burn Ban:
❌ No recreational campfires or fire pits
❌ No outdoor burning of any kind, including yard debris and brush

What’s still allowed?
✅ Charcoal grills (please use caution when disposing of charcoal remains)
✅ Propane fire tables and other gas-fueled cooking appliances.
✅ Self-contained wood pellet grills and cooking devices (only if placed on a concrete or other non-combustible surface)

Congratulations to Probationary Firefighter Owen Moriarty who graduated from the King County Fire Training Consortium last night. After 22 weeks of being in the fire academy he will soon be serving the Fall City Community.

We want to congratulate Probationary Firefighter David Johnson on the completion of his recruit academy with the South King County Fire Training Consortium. He will finish a post-academy course and be assigned to D-Shift starting on February 15. We are proud of the hard work and dedication that you put into the academy and look forward to serving the Fall City Community.

Captain Fleming and Chief Culp had the opportunity to go up the State Fire Academy to watch the recruits conducted live fire training. It was great to see all the new recruits that will be serving various fire departments in King County.

Congratulations to Noah Fleming on being promoted to Lieutenant today. Lt. Fleming took his oath, administered by Chief Culp, and his badge was pinned on by his mom. His bugles were pinned by his brother and his dad, Captain Fleming. Lt. Fleming, we are proud of the hard work and dedication you give to the Fall City community.

Happy Halloween. What a great night, even with the rain. We moved this year inside to allow a little relief from the rain. Thank you to everyone that came by.

Yesterday, Fall City Fire had a structure fire off of Redmond Fall City Rd. With the high winds yesterday, the fire was able to spread quickly. We want to thank Eastside Fire and Rescue, Bellevue Fire, Redmond Fire, Snoqualmie Fire, and Puget Sound Fire for their great effort and quick response. We also want to thank the King County Sheriff's Office and WADOT for blocking the road while we had all of the units on scene.
