We are incredibly grateful to the The Greater Boston Food Bank for selecting the Solanus Casey Food Pantry of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Fall River as a recipient of a Community Investment Grant.

This $6,000 investment will fund new shelving and storage improvements, increasing our capacity, enhancing workflow, and creating a more welcoming experience for the individuals and families who rely on our pantry each month.

For nearly 30 years, GBFB has been a valued partner in helping us address food insecurity throughout the SouthCoast. Their support reflects a shared commitment to ensuring that every person is welcomed with dignity, care, and compassion.

Thank you, Greater Boston Food Bank, for your partnership and for investing in our mission to serve our neighbors in need. 💙

World Day of Migrants and Refugees
Today, September 27, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Fall River joins the Church around the world in observing the 112th World Day of Migrants and Refugees.
This year’s theme, “Even Just One of These Children,” calls attention to migrant and refugee children and reminds us that behind every journey is a person with a unique story, inherent dignity, and hope for a better future. Pope Leo XIV reminds us that welcoming those who are vulnerable is not simply an act of compassion, but an expression of our faith.
At Catholic Charities, our Immigration Law Programs work each day to provide individuals and families with legal assistance, education, advocacy, and support as they navigate complex immigration challenges.
As we mark this special day, may we continue to welcome the stranger, protect the vulnerable, and recognize the dignity of every person we encounter.
“I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” — Matthew 25:35

Standing with Our Immigrant Neighbors
This past Thursday, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Fall River was honored to join Rep. Jake Auchincloss, local leaders, and community advocates to discuss the recent ICE detentions affecting families across the South Coast. Our CEO, Susan Mazzarella, participated in support of the immigrant families we serve every day through our Immigration Legal Services program.
At Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Fall River, we witness firsthand the challenges faced by individuals and families seeking safety, stability, and opportunity. Through legal assistance, advocacy, and compassionate support, we remain committed to serving our neighbors with dignity and respect.
In moments of uncertainty, we stand with families in need and reaffirm our mission to provide hope, help, and justice for those we serve.
