Be alert for school buses and children waiting at bus stops or along the roadway. Please be patient and cautious around new drivers, and use extra care when traveling through our school zones.

📸We Need Your Help!

We’re working on the annual Pendleton County Sheriff’s Office Calendar and we want to continue showcasing places that make our community special!

We’re looking for suggestions on great photo locations throughout the county - beautiful scenic spots from your property, places you feel truly represent what makes our county unique. (Note: We would need to be able to access the location with our cruisers for the photo.)
Previous locations include: Resevoir Hill Road and Riverview Lane.

The Pendleton County Champions Coalition invited Sheriff Brewer to attend their event at Pendleton County High School on Thursday. With prom being this Saturday, we wanted to ensure that students were properly educated about the risks and dangers associated with underage drinking.

Sheriff Brewer had the opportunity to participate in Safety Day yesterday, teaching third-grade students from Northern and Southern Elementary about the dangers of drug use.

On April 5, 2026 after responding to a call for service, Deputy Webster with Pendleton County Sheriff’s Office made multiple drug arrests for trafficking and possession of Methamphetamine and Fentanyl and drug paraphernalia. Deputy Webster was able to obtain a search warrant which lead to additional charges in the case. Deputy N Reinhardt and Deputy J Reinhardt assisted in the arrests and search as well.

🚨PENDLETON COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE ANNOUNCEMENT🚨

After careful review of community feedback, rising gas prices, and several deputies losing
rock-paper-scissors tournaments...
we are proud to announce our newest patrol initiative:

The Mounted "Low-Speed Pursuit" Unit 🐴

Beginning today, deputies will patrol the county using horses, bicycles, and one highly motivated scooter (still awaiting approval from evidance storage).

Benefits include:
✅Environmentally friendly patrols
✅Easier parking downtown
✅Sirens replaced with deputies yelling "WEE-OOO WEE-OOO" for authenticity
✅Free apples accepted as community support donations

Citizens are encouraged to wave as deputies trot by and to remember: fleeing suspects may now be pursued at a blazing speed of 8 mph.

🚨 Scam Alert – Pendleton County Residents 🚨
The Pendleton County Sheriff’s Office is warning of a scam in which callers falsely claim to be deputies, sometimes using real names, ranks, and badge numbers. These scammers may say you missed a court date or jury duty, or that a loved one is in jail, in an attempt to obtain personal information or payment over the phone.
Do not provide any information or money. The Pendleton County Sheriff’s Office will never notify you of a warrant by phone or request payment for fines or bail over the phone.
