💙 Community Partner Spotlight: Birthday Beacon

We are incredibly grateful for community partners like Birthday Beacon who help create meaningful moments for the families we serve.

Care Coordinator Alexis West recently shared how much of an impact their support can make:

“Because of their generosity, children who otherwise may have gone without a birthday celebration have received thoughtful gifts, birthday cakes, decorations, and opportunities to create joyful memories with their families. These are not just presents. They are moments of normalcy, hope, and love during incredibly difficult seasons.”

For families navigating recovery, housing instability, treatment, employment, court involvement, and reunification, something as simple as celebrating a birthday can mean more than people realize.

A little generosity can make a big difference. 💙

Care Coordinator Lindsey recently shared a special shoutout to her dad, Dale Walsh, for helping one of our participants turn an empty bedroom into a comfortable place to call their own.

Thanks to Dale’s generosity, the participant received a bed and frame, dresser, nightstand, TV, and bedding. Dale also donated his time, truck, and gas to help deliver everything across town.

We are grateful for team members like Lindsey and for family members like Dale who are willing to step in and support the people we serve in meaningful ways.

Thank you, Lindsey and Dale, for showing what community and compassion can look like in action. 🏡💙

💙 Better Together ND was proud to be part of the 14th Annual Rally for Recovery in Grand Forks!

Care Coordinators Beverly and Justin hosted a booth and spent the evening connecting with community members, sharing resources, and supporting an event centered on recovery, hope, and connection.

The Rally for Recovery brings people together to raise awareness, reduce stigma, celebrate recovery, remember those we have lost, and remind individuals and families that they are not alone.

We are grateful to be part of a community that continues to show up for one another and support those impacted by substance use and mental health challenges.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth and helped make the evening so meaningful. 💙
