Another week, another opportunity to showcase North Dakota agriculture to international buyers!

Yesterday, we welcomed a trade team from Bangladesh as part of the U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council (USGBC) post-Export Exchange tour.

The group spent the day learning more about North Dakota's corn production, transportation infrastructure and ethanol industry. From visiting a local farm and grain shuttle facility to touring Tharaldson Ethanol Plant, the day offered a firsthand look at the people, practices and investments that help move North Dakota corn into markets around the world.

Again, these visits are about more than showcasing what we grow. They're an opportunity to strengthen relationships, build confidence in U.S. agricultural products and better understand the needs of our international customers.

We're proud to work alongside USGBC and our industry partners to connect North Dakota farmers with growing global markets.

Thank you to everyone who helped welcome the team and share our state's agricultural story! We look forward to continuing the conversations with this team today!

Last week, North Dakota Corn was proud to be part of the 2026 Bison Ag Experience, welcoming congressional staffers from Washington, D.C., to the state and showcasing the people, innovation and opportunities that make North Dakota agriculture so important!

North Dakota Corn Utilization Council Board Chairman Carson Klosterman welcomed participants to his farm near Wyndmere for a firsthand look at corn production and farming operations. The group also visited Guardian Energy Hankinson to learn how North Dakota corn is transformed into ethanol, creating value-added markets for farmers and supporting our rural economy.

The experience continued with visits highlighting other sectors of North Dakota agriculture, NDSU agricultural research and innovation, and a little Bison football!

We're grateful for opportunities like this to connect people with agriculture, share the story of our farmers and demonstrate the impact of agricultural research and market development across our state.

Thank you to North Dakota State University and all the partners who helped make this experience possible!

It’s Friday!

That one corn field you pass along the side of the road is more than just something that ends up on our dinner plates. There are so many possibilities for what that corn can become!

Corn is more than just a crop, it can become food for us, feed for livestock, ethanol for our vehicles, and even ingredients in products we use every day. From the farm to our everyday lives, corn plays a bigger role than you might think!

Today, we teamed up with the North Dakota Corn Growers Association to deliver a warm harvest meal to Ben Longlet and his crew near Amenia, ND! Ben was the lucky winner of our cooler and harvest meal giveaway at this year's Big Iron Farm Show.

We're grateful for the hard work, dedication, and long hours our farmers put in to bring in the crop each fall. Thank you to Ben and his crew for welcoming us, and to all of North Dakota's farmers working hard to get the crop in.

Wishing everyone a safe and successful harvest! 🌽

Yesterday we wrapped on three great days of hosting a U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council Latin American trade team in North Dakota!

We spent our final day at North Dakota State University and the Northern Crops Institute (NCI), highlighting the research, education and expertise that support the global use of U.S. corn and its co-products.

The team toured NCI’s feed mill and NDSU’s new Swine Research and Education Facility, learned more about poultry nutrition and the value of distillers grains in livestock diets, and dove into grain marketing and trading with Dr. Frayne Olson, NDSU Extension Crops Economist.

Throughout the week, conversations connected international buyers with the farmers, researchers and industry professionals who contribute to North Dakota’s agricultural industry and the reliable production of high-quality corn and co-products.

A special thank you to the U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council for asking us to host this team and working with us to arrange the visit, and to all of our farmers, businesses, researchers and tour partners who generously shared their time and expertise throughout the week.

Opportunities like these are an important part of strengthening international relationships, demonstrating the value of U.S. corn and its co-products, and building long-term markets for North Dakota corn growers!

Day two of our Latin American trade team visit took us to the Carrington area, where we continued showcasing the quality, innovation and diversity of North Dakota agriculture!

We started the morning at the NDSU Carrington Research Extension Center, learning about agricultural research and the role of corn and its co-products in livestock nutrition. From there, we visited Vanbedaf Dairy LLP for a firsthand look at dairy production and how corn and distillers grains contribute to livestock feeding.

The group also enjoyed lunch at Cows & Co Creamery, where we had an opportunity to experience another great example of North Dakota agriculture while continuing conversations with our hosts.

We wrapped up the afternoon at NDCUC Board Member Mark Ressler's farm, where the team learned more about crop and cattle production, farming practices and the work that goes into producing a reliable supply of high-quality corn.

Today’s visits provided valuable opportunities for international buyers to connect directly with North Dakota farmers, researchers and agricultural businesses, strengthening relationships and building demand for U.S. corn and its co-products.

Thank you to all of today's hosts for sharing your time, knowledge and hospitality!

Tomorrow, we'll conclude the team's North Dakota visit with stops at Northern Crops Institute and NDSU! Stay tuned!

What better way to celebrate than connecting North Dakota farmers with customers from around the world?!

Today, we were excited to welcome a delegation of corn and distiller's grain (DDGS) buyers from Latin America to North Dakota in partnership with the U.S. Grains & BioProducts Councill!

We kicked off the day at NDCUC Chairman Carson Klosterman's farm near Wyndmere, where the group got a firsthand look at North Dakota corn production and harvest. From there, we visited the Minn-Kota Ag Products Shuttle Loading Facility in Mooreton to learn how our corn moves from the farm to customers around the world.

Our afternoon included a stop at Tharaldson Ethanol Plant near Casselton to explore ethanol production and the valuable co-products that help feed livestock around the globe.

These visits are an important opportunity to showcase the quality of North Dakota corn, build relationships with international buyers, and strengthen markets for our growers.

A big thank you to our hosts for taking time out of a busy harvest season to share their operations and expertise!

We're looking forward to another great day of conversations and connections tomorrow as the team continues its visit across North Dakota!

Happy Friday, and happy harvest season!

Some may think that once the corn is out of the ground, farmers are done for the season… but that couldn’t be further from the truth!

From tillage and soil testing to preparing equipment and planning for the next crop, there’s still plenty of work to be done. Farmers spend this time of year preparing their fields and making sure everything is ready to go before winter sets in and the snow arrives.

Harvest may mark the end of one growing season, but it’s also the beginning of preparing for the next one!
