October is , and we’re encouraging North Dakotans to Stay Cyber SMART!

Governor Kelly Armstrong officially proclaimed October as Cybersecurity Awareness Month in , recognizing the role we all play in protecting our increasingly connected state.

“Cybersecurity is a shared responsibility,” said Chris Gergen, Chief Information Security Officer. “By embracing Stay Cyber SMART, we’re not just protecting ourselves; we’re protecting our neighbors, our communities, and the services North Dakotans rely on every day.”

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on Sept. 11 and honor the courage, compassion, and selflessness shown in the face of unimaginable tragedy. We remember the first responders, service members, volunteers and everyday Americans who came together to help one another and strengthen our nation. May their legacy continue to remind us of the power of unity, kindness and service to one another.
