What a privilege it was to perform at the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library on the Fourth of July, as our nation celebrated its 250th birthday. 🇺🇸
Every performance is special in its own way, but every once in a while, we get the opportunity to be part of an event that we’ll remember for the rest of our lives. This was one of those unforgettable evenings!
🫡 Watching a multitude of Veterans proudly rise during their respective service songs as we performed the Armed Forces Medley.
🎤 Hearing hundreds of people sing along with our vocal ensemble during God Bless America.
🤝 Meeting and collaborating with an incredible team of out-of-state event producers (shoutout to Lorena, Suzanne, and Colin!) while working hand in hand with multiple agencies to coordinate music programming and licensing, parking passes, stage logistics, and all the sound, media, and technical details that made the evening possible.
🛸 Watching two incredible drone shows, telling the story of Theodore Roosevelt and the values, people, and places he held dear. (If you haven’t watched the video from our previous post, you need to!)
🎶 Making music with the best team of Soldier Musicians. We are young, but mighty, and our unit camaraderie shines brightly both on and off stage.
Standing on that beautiful stage in the badlands, honoring the legacy of Theodore Roosevelt while celebrating America’s enduring spirit, was an experience unlike any other. It was a reminder of why we do what we do—to serve, to represent our state and nation, and to bring people together through music.
Even our most seasoned Soldiers—those who have performed in hundreds of concerts throughout their careers—agreed this was one of the coolest and most memorable performances they’ve ever had the honor of playing.
We are incredibly grateful to have been part of such a historic celebration. It’s a mission none of us will ever forget. ❤️🤍💙
Pride in Performance!
