We recognize recent news coverage may bring up difficult, harmful emotions for victim-survivors. We encourage everyone to give themselves permission to step away from content that feels overwhelming and to prioritize their well-being.

We also want to acknowledge a broader concern about how violence against women is increasingly sensationalized and consumed as entertainment. When violence is packaged for public consumption, the real people, lasting impacts, and humanity behind these stories can become lost. This constant exposure can affect our mental health, reinforce harmful narratives, and contribute to a culture in which violence is normalized rather than meaningfully addressed.

Violence is not entertainment. Victim-survivors are not stories to be consumed. We can seek understanding and accountability while remaining mindful of the dignity, privacy, and humanity of those impacted.

If you are struggling with what you are seeing or hearing: you are not alone, and you do not have to navigate these feelings on your own. Our hotline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for free, confidential support. You do not need to be in crisis to reach out.

Today, we wore purple. 💜

West Fargo Police Department Investigations Division, Cass County State's Attorney’s Office, and Fargo Police Department joined the Sollera team in wearing purple for , a day to raise awareness about domestic violence and show support for victim-survivors.

While we each play different roles in responding to domestic violence, we share a commitment to supporting victim-survivors and building a safer community.

This morning, Violence Free Minnesota marked the first day of Domestic Violence Awareness Month by releasing the 2025 Homicide Report: Relationship Abuse in Minnesota, honoring the Minnesotans who were taken from us in 2025 as a result of domestic violence.
