Thank you, City of Faribault, Minnesota - City Government for partnering with us on the city's newest park in the Twin Oaks subdivision on the northern edge of town. It's another wonderful amenity for residents.

The neighborhood, which, when finished, will have 22 affordable, owner-occupied 5- and 6-bedroom homes, has been a collaborative effort between the county HRA, Three Rivers Community Action, Inc., Habitat for Humanity and the city. Six homes are already complete. The second phase, set to begin shortly, will add another eight.

It's that time of year again - Defeat of Jesse James Days - and this year the city's celebrating 150 years since the townsfolk ran Jesse and his gang out of town.

As always, celebrate wisely and make sure you're got a sober ride home.

Joyride buses are again providing free rides home to Northfield addresses from 10 p.m.-2 a.m. Thursday through Saturday.
