Today we celebrated the ribbon cutting for FormFactor’s new advanced manufacturing facility here in Farmers Branch.

Less than a year ago, FormFactor chose Farmers Branch for its next facility, competing against five other locations. Today, that announcement became reality.

This investment will bring hundreds of new, highly skilled jobs, strengthens our economic base, and places Farmers Branch inside one of the most critical supply chains in the world, building the chips that power AI and the data centers driving it.

Thank you to FormFactor and its team for putting down roots here, and to our Mayor, City Council, City Management, staff, residents, and business partners who helped make this possible.

Welcome to Farmers Branch, FormFactor! 💙

On behalf of the City Council, Mayor Terry Lynne was proud to proclaim October 2026 as Fire Prevention Month.

All month long, our Fire Department is out in the community teaching fire safety, including why working smoke alarms matter and how to safely use, charge, and recycle lithium-ion batteries. Our Branch Brigade Firefighter Edu-tainers are also visiting local schools to teach students from pre-K through fifth grade.

This year’s national theme is “Charge Into Fire Safety: Safe Charging Is a Superpower.” The Fire Department is also hosting its 29th Annual Fire Prevention Poster Contest for third graders in Farmers Branch elementary schools.

Thank you to our firefighters for helping keep our community safe! 🚒
