Difficult message from the Farmington School District...

It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we share some tragic news.

Earlier today, one of our valued staff members, Tim Schaupert, passed away following a car accident. Tim was a cherished member of the Farmington family, known for his dedication, warmth, and positivity. Beyond his role in our schools, he was heavily involved with numerous sports teams both within our district and throughout the local area.

Our immediate priority is supporting our students, staff, and families as we navigate this devastating loss together. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and his officiating community.

Please keep Tim’s family, loved ones, and our entire school community in your thoughts. Thank you for your continued support, compassion, and care for one another during this difficult time.

β€” Dr. Jeri Kay Hardy, Superintendent

🌍 Open Your Door to the World! ✈️

Did you know that every year during the second semester, Farmington High School welcomes exchange students from Chile and Germany for a special one-month stay?

This incredible experience is only possible thanks to the open hearts and generosity of host families right here in the Farmington community. Hosting is a wonderful way to share our community, learn about new cultures, and build friendships that cross oceans!

Could your family be a host home to a student? Whether you'd like to host a student from Chile, Germany, or even both, we’d love to welcome you into this wonderful host family tradition!

🏈 FRIENDLY RIVALRY FOR A GREAT CAUSE!

The Farmington and Central school districts are teaming up for Cover the Cruiser, a friendly competition to take place on Friday, October 23 when Central hosts Farmington in the regular season finale football game! The fundraiser will benefit each school district's weekend backpack and student food assistance programs and help make sure no student goes hungry on the weekends! πŸŽ’πŸŽ

Donations will be collected during the week leading up to the game and at the stadium through halftime. For as little as $1, students, families, staff, and community members can buy a custom sticker, write their name on it, and stick it directly on a police cruiser! The goal is to completely cover the cruiser with stickers while raising critical funds for local kids! πŸš“

One Central cruiser and one Farmington cruiser will be parked near the field so you can watch the stickers pile up all night. At halftime, we’ll announce which district raised the most money and earns the title of Cover the Cruiser Champion! πŸ†

100% of the funds raised by each district stay with that district to support its own students and families in need. Let’s show up, fill those cruisers, and support our families in need!
