Today is 988 DAY!!!
988 Day is to raise awareness of the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline and to promote mental health and su***de prevention.
At Franklin County Regional Communications Center, we know that helping our community means working together. Our 911 dispatchers and 988 crisis counselors have different roles, but we share one important mission: helping people and saving lives. When someone reaches out during a crisis, 988 can provide compassionate mental health and substance-use support, while 911 is there when an immediate emergency requires a public-safety response. Through cooperation and communication, we can help connect people with the right resources when they need them most. Different roles. One community. One mission. Together, 988 and 911 are here for you. 💙❤️ Call or text 988 for mental health support 24/7. Call 911 for life-threatening emergencies.
