Looks like this storm was a BUST!
The US National Weather Service Albuquerque New Mexico canceled the Flood Watch for this week.
While we would certainly welcome any moisture, when it comes, we are glad when it’s not all at once. We are also very pleased when people are prepared ahead of time.
Anyway:
FLOOD WATCH IS CANCELLED...
The Flood Watch is cancelled for portions of central, north central,
northwest, and west central New Mexico, including the following
areas, in central New Mexico, Lower Rio Grande Valley, Middle Rio
Grande Valley including the Albuquerque Metro Area and San Agustin
Plains and Adjacent Lowlands. In north central New Mexico, Espanola
Valley, Far Northwest Highlands, Jemez Mountains, Northwest
Highlands, Tusas Mountains Including Chama and Upper Rio Grande
Valley. In northwest New Mexico, Chuska Mountains and Northwest
Plateau. In west central New Mexico, San Francisco River Valley,
Southwest Mountains, West Central Highlands, West Central Mountains
and West Central Plateau.
Rainfall in these areas today will generally be light to moderate.
While minor to moderate rises on area creeks and arroyos are likely,
flash flooding is not expected to pose a threat so the Watch has been
cancelled early.
