Given the strange forces at work in this election cycle, this message is more important than ever. The comment sections in my posts lately are evidence of that. Let's make decency viral. America was founded on the principle of independence, and it's time our politics remembered it. We don't need the ugliness of big city partisan politics in local government. I'll have a lot more to say on that in the coming days. In the meantime, know that what I want for my kids and yours is a decent world for them to walk in to.

Mayor Brian Vincent of Farmville, VA was endorsed by Forward for re-election. Why? Read the message below from the Mayor – then volunteer to help him and other great Virginia candidates.

This past weekend in Farmville, I had the honor of walking our eldest out at halftime under the Friday night lights of her school’s homecoming football game. She was the Sophomore Princess. Being an elected official these days comes with some lumps. But of all my roles, the hardest, the most rewarding, and the most important is being Dad. Love ya girl. ♥️
Thank you for the photo Farrah!

⚠️ Boil Water Advisory Update ⚠️

Crews have repaired the 16" water main break near the High Bridge Trail, and water pressure is being restored. Thank you to our utility crews, who worked through the weekend, and to everyone for your patience.

Whenever a water system loses pressure below a certain threshold, the Virginia Department of Health requires a specific testing process before an advisory can be lifted. That process involves two tests, 24 hour hours apart. This is a state health requirement that we must follow.
There will be a test this morning and the second test Tuesday morning. So Weds is the earliest the advisory can be lifted, dependent on the tests. We will let you know the moment VDH clears it.

Thank you again for our Public Works crews coming in on Sunday and for all y’all’s patience.
