Why Give Blood?

Community Blood Center must collect almost 600 units of blood daily to meet the needs of area hospital patients. As there is no substitute for blood, we rely on volunteer donors like you to supply the life-saving blood and blood components to hospitals in Kansas and Missouri.

What do I have to do?

Making an appointment is easy! Simply click here and follow the steps below.

Step 1:
Click the link above or visit https://donate.savealifenow.org/donor/schedules/sponsor_code and click enter the code CR. You will be presented with a list of available blood drives that we sponsor. Select the drive that is most convenient for you and choose your preferred time to donate.

Step 2:
CBC has a new online Donor Portal. If you have already registered in our former system, you will still need to create a user account for this new system.

If you have not yet created a login in this new system, select the Create One Now option and follow the required fields.

Mid-Buchanan R-V School District invites all area Veterans and a guest to join us on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, as we honor and celebrate those who have served our country! ❤️🤍💙

Our annual Veterans Day celebration will include a complimentary breakfast buffet followed by a special student-led recognition ceremony.

📅 Date: Wednesday, November 11
🕗 Arrival: 8:15 a.m.
📍 Entrance: Elementary Office

🎖️ Recognition Ceremony: High School Gymnasium

Here are the District Tourmanent brackets for Softball and Volleyball!

Softball has a bye and will play their first game at noon this Saturday (10/17). All games will be played at Lathrop High School.

Volleyball also has a first round bye and will play on Thursday, October 22nd at 5:00pm. Those games will all be played at West Platte High School.
