☕ SUNDAY HABIT #8 | GIVE YOURSELF GRACE ❤️
This week's reminder:
You don't have to get everything right to be growing.

Maybe you didn't communicate the way you wanted to.
Maybe you made an assumption.
Maybe you reacted too quickly.
Maybe you didn't handle something perfectly.

Learn from it.
Apologize if you need to.
Try again.
And then give yourself some grace.

Personal growth isn't about becoming a completely different person overnight.
It's about noticing.
Being honest with yourself.
And choosing to do a little better the next time.

That's what this week's habits have really been about for me:
🌱 Be curious, not critical.
❤️ Be careful not to crush.
🗣️ Set ground rules in conflict.
💭 Ask, don't assume.
🤝 Connect before you correct.
✨ And remember that we're all still working on ourselves.

So, take a breath today.
You’re allowed to be a work in progress.
Happy Sunday. ❤️

🗓️ SATURDAY | NOT EVERYONE CAN DO PAPERWORK MONDAY–FRIDAY
Most notary offices operate during traditional business hours, Monday through Friday, with some offering modified hours on Saturday.
But life doesn't always follow a Monday–Friday schedule. 😉

Maybe you're working during the week.
Maybe your schedule is packed.
Maybe you're caring for family.
Maybe you simply can't take another afternoon off to sit in an office.

That's one of the reasons I offer mobile notary services. ✍️🚗

Instead of always trying to fit your life around the notary, I can come to an agreed-upon location that works for you.
🏠 Home
💼 Workplace
🏥 Certain facilities
📍 Other agreed-upon locations

Because sometimes convenience isn't a luxury — it's what makes getting the important things done possible.
📍 Serving South Central PA & surrounding areas

Need a notary outside the traditional 9–5? Send me a message and let's see if I can help. ❤️

❤️ FRIDAY HABIT #7 | DO THE SMALL THINGS WELL
I've been thinking a lot lately about how often the little things aren't actually little.

Showing up.
Following through.
Keeping your word.
Paying attention.
Checking in.
Admitting when you got it wrong.
And that last one? I'm working on it.

Because I'm human, and sometimes I get caught up in life.

Case in point… I missed a hair appointment. For the second time. 🤦‍♀️😂
How embarrassing! I could make excuses. I could blame how busy things have been. But the truth is… I dropped the ball.
And honestly, what I'm most grateful for isn't that people never get frustrated with me. It's that I have people in my life who give me forgiveness, grace, and another chance when I don't get it right. ❤️

That has made me think about how important it is to extend that same grace to other people. Because we're all juggling things.

We're all going to forget something, make a mistake, be late, say the wrong thing, or simply have a day where we're not at our best.

Doing the small things well doesn't mean doing everything perfectly.

Sometimes it means:
Own it. Apologize. Make it right. Learn from it. Try again.
And then keep showing up.

That's the habit I'm working on this Friday, not perfection, but accountability, consistency, and giving people the same grace I'm so grateful to receive. ❤️

And to the people in my life who have had to give me a little extra grace lately…
Thank you. Truly.

🌱 THURSDAY HABIT #6 | BE PRESENT ❤️
One thing I'm really working on lately is being present.

Not thinking about the next thing on my to-do list.
Not mentally planning what I need to do tomorrow.
Not scrolling on my phone while someone is talking.

Just… being there.
And honestly, this one hits differently when I think about my kids.
They're getting bigger.

The little things I used to think would last forever are already changing. Their interests change. Their conversations change. They need me differently than they did a few years ago.

And as a mom, it's so easy to get caught up in everything that needs to be done that I forget to slow down and actually be in the moment I'm working so hard for.

So I'm reminding myself:
👂 Listen instead of rushing to respond.
👀 Pay attention instead of looking at my phone.
❤️ Be present instead of worrying about what's next.
📵 Put the distractions down and enjoy the people right in front of me.

Because one day, I know I'm going to wish I could go back to these ordinary moments.

The random conversations.
The car rides.
The jokes that aren't even funny. 😂
The “Mom, look at this!” moments.
Even the moments when I’m tired and they just want my attention.

I don't want to be so busy building a good life for my kids that I forget to actually live it with them.

People may not remember exactly what we said or what we were doing…
But they'll remember how it felt to have our attention.
And that's a habit worth working on. ❤️

🌱 WEDNESDAY HABIT #5 | CONNECT BEFORE YOU CORRECT ❤️
I’m working on this one.
I have a tendency to want to help, fix, explain, or offer constructive feedback when I see something that could be better.
And sometimes… people don't need to be corrected.
Sometimes they need to feel heard first.
Habit #5: Connect before you correct.

I'm working on holding back that insatiable need to always have the answer, offer the solution, or point out what could be done differently.
Because constructive feedback doesn't mean much if the person receiving it doesn't feel valued by the person giving it.
People don't just stay where they're successful.
People stay where they feel valued.

So before I offer advice, I'm trying to ask myself:
💭 Did they ask for my feedback?
👂 Have I actually listened?
❤️ Do they know I’m on their side?
🗣️ Am I trying to help them — or trying to fix them?

Sometimes the best thing we can do is connect first.
Listen first.
Understand first.
Then, if the moment calls for it, correct with kindness.
Definitely a habit I'm still working on. ❤️

🌱 TUESDAY Growth Habit #4 | ASK, DON’T ASSUME 💭
Habit #4: Ask, don't assume.
It sounds simple, but it's one of those habits that's much easier said than done.

We see something. We hear something.
We don't get a response. And suddenly, our brain fills in the blanks. 😅

They must be upset. They don't care.
I know what they meant. They probably think…
But the truth is, we don't always know.

Instead of creating a story in your head, ask the question.
Instead of assuming someone's intentions, get curious.
Instead of reacting to what you think happened, find out what actually happened.

🗣️ “Can you help me understand?”
❤️ “Is that what you meant?”
👂 “What did you mean by that?”
💭 “I might be assuming here, so I want to ask…”

Asking doesn't make you weak or difficult.
Sometimes, asking one simple question can prevent an entire unnecessary argument.
And I'm learning that clarity is almost always better than assumptions.

Today's reminder:
If you don't know… ask. ❤️

What's something you've assumed before that turned out to be completely different than what you thought?

☀️ MONDAY RESET Habit #3 | SET GROUND RULES IN CONFLICT 🧠❤️
Conflict is part of life. We’re not always going to agree, and we’re not always going to see things the same way.
But how we handle conflict matters.

Habit #3: Set ground rules in conflict situations.

Before a difficult conversation, decide what the rules are:
🗣️ We can disagree without disrespecting each other.
👂 We listen to understand — not just to respond.
⏸️ If emotions get too high, it’s okay to pause and come back to it.
🚫 No yelling, name-calling, or personal attacks.
❤️ The goal isn't to win — it's to understand and find a way forward.

Setting boundaries around conflict doesn't mean avoiding hard conversations.
It means creating enough safety and respect to actually have the conversation.
And honestly, this is something I'm working on too.
Because sometimes the most important habit isn't knowing exactly what to say…
It's knowing how we want to show up when things get difficult.

So this week, before stepping into a tough conversation, ask yourself:
“What ground rules would help us have this conversation well?”

☕ Monday reminder: Protect the relationship, even when you're working through the problem.

☕ SUNDAY RESET Habit #2 | BE CAREFUL NOT TO CRUSH ❤️
Sometimes the things we say, the way we react, or even the assumptions we make can leave a bigger impact than we realize.

Habit #2: Be careful not to crush.

Be careful with people’s feelings.
Be careful with your words.
Be careful with the person who may already be having a hard day.

You never know what someone is carrying beneath the surface.

Just like a document can be handled carefully to keep it from being damaged, people deserve that same kind of care. 📋❤️

This week, before you react, pause.
Before you criticize, ask.
Before you assume, get curious.

And before you speak, ask yourself:
“Is this going to help, or could it hurt?”

A Sunday reminder that kindness doesn't cost us anything — but it can mean everything to someone else.
☕ Take a breath.
❤️ Be intentional.
🌱 Start the week with a little more grace.

What's one way you can be a little more careful with someone this week?

👜 WHAT’S IN A NOTARY’S BAG? | HABIT #1: BE CURIOUS, NOT CRITICAL ✍️
Probably more paperwork than you’d expect. 😂
But one thing I try to carry with me everywhere — curiosity.

As a notary, you meet people from all walks of life. Everyone has a different story, different circumstances, and sometimes a reason behind the paperwork that you may never know.

So instead of assuming or judging, ask questions. Listen. Be curious. ❤️

Because you never really know what someone is carrying — even when all you see is a stack of paperwork.
And yes… I do actually have a few practical things in my notary bag, too. 😉

✍️ Notary supplies
📋 My notary journal
🖊️ Pens… probably too many
📱 My phone for scheduling & communication
🚗 My keys — because I’m a mobile notary!

Being mobile allows me to meet clients at an agreed-upon location, making the process a little more convenient when life is already busy.

Habit #1: Be curious, not critical.

A little curiosity can change the way we see people. 💛

What’s a habit you’re intentionally working on right now?

❤️ FRIDAY LOCAL LOVE | STANDARD BY GEARHOUSE
There are some local places that just become part of your routine.

For me, Standard by GearHouse is one of those places. ☕🥐

Located at 370 Philadelphia Ave. in Chambersburg, Standard is the kind of spot that makes you want to slow down for a minute — grab a coffee, something fresh from the bakery, and enjoy a little piece of our community.

And let's be honest… their baked goods and breakfast sandwiches are GOOD. 😂

But what I love most about highlighting local businesses isn't just what they sell. It's the people behind them and the role they play in making our communities feel like home.

As a REALTOR® and mobile notary, I spend a lot of time talking about homes and paperwork, but I also want to talk about the places that make people want to live here. ❤️

That's what local love is really about. So if you haven't checked out Standard by GearHouse yet, maybe this weekend is your sign. ☕😉
