The FCDA is proud to award $300,000 to the Town of Woolsey to continue the restoration of the Historic Woolsey Church, a beloved landmark that first opened its doors in 1889.

Once restored, this beautiful space will serve as a Community and Cultural Center for generations to come. We've loved watching this vision take shape, and we're honored to help carry it forward.

This is the second round of Partners in Success funding for this project, and the progress has been inspiring to watch. We're proud to see it through.

What should our community look like in 20 years, and have you shared your perspective?

Fayette County, the City of Fayetteville, and the Town of Tyrone are all currently updating their comprehensive plans, creating opportunities for residents, business owners, and community stakeholders to help shape long-term priorities.

These plans guide decisions about land use, infrastructure, economic development, parks, and community investment. Broad participation helps local leaders understand what people value, what challenges need attention, and where opportunities exist.

The Fayette County Development Authority encourages you to participate:

• Fayette County: Attend the Comprehensive Plan Visioning Fair on October 27, 5:30–7:30 p.m., at the Fayette County Health Department. Details: https://www.fayettecountyga.gov/news_detail_T2_R264.php
• Fayetteville: Complete the visioning survey by November 30: https://www.fayetteville-ga.gov/ImagineFayetteville

Peachtree City is also preparing its 2027 Comprehensive Plan update, with public participation opportunities to watch for as the process progresses.

It’s National Manufacturing Week, and we’re starting with one of Fayette County’s longtime manufacturers.

Hoshizaki America, headquartered in Peachtree City, recently completed a 120,000-square-foot warehouse expansion next to its existing facility on Highway 74. The project adds warehouse capacity on-site and supports the company’s continued operations in Fayette County.

Today, CertainTeed is giving 101 students from all five Fayette County high schools a firsthand look at careers and opportunities in modern manufacturing.

Students are spending the day learning more about the industry, meeting professionals, and seeing how manufacturing supports jobs, innovation, and our local economy.

We’re grateful to CertainTeed for investing in Fayette County’s future workforce and to the education, community, and elected leaders joining us today in support of our students.

The FCDA is thrilled to recognize the Peachtree City Airport Authority as one of our FY27 Partners in Success Grant recipients!

We awarded $300,000 toward the Area D Taxiway Connectors Project at Peachtree City-Falcon Field Airport — improving safety, efficiency, and capacity at a facility that plays a real role in our county's economic strength.

The Fayette County Development Authority’s Research & Discovery Trip to Cary, North Carolina is currently underway. It brings together local leaders and community partners to learn firsthand from another successful community’s approach to economic development, placemaking, recreation, infrastructure, and quality of life.

The purpose of the trip is simple: to learn. By seeing projects firsthand, asking questions of the people behind them, and discussing both successes and lessons learned, participants can return to Fayette County with new ideas and a broader perspective on opportunities within our own community.

Fayette County is unique, and the goal is not to replicate another community. It is to learn from others, strengthen relationships among local leaders, and identify ideas and best practices that may help us make thoughtful, informed decisions about Fayette’s future. USA Baseball
