Since we’re less than a week away from the 5th Annual MS Red Angus “Classic” Sale in Raymond, MS. We’ll be leaving for Raymond, MS and the 5th Annual MS Red Angus “Classic” Sale a week from today. Our next feature female is lot 32, VETO Crystal 223N, she’s another opportunity to add a tremendous cow and donor prospect to any program. Her 119 MPPA donor dam, J1172, is quickly becoming a no-miss, powerhouse donor for us. Her two flushes have garnered attention from visitors to the farm, including, most recently, the three flush mate sisters to 223N. A J1172 daughter, VETO Crystal 228M was the second high seller of the ‘25 MS Red Angus “Classic” Sale. J1172’s first natural calf, VETO Crystal 207L, has posted a 107 MPPA on 2 natural calves and has already reached donor status with a very successful “maiden” flush. 207L, recently weaned an outstanding Feb ‘26 PIE Herdsman daughter that rivals the best of our spring born heifers. 223N is long spined, deep sided, angular and attractive. She has 6 traits in the single digit percentiles, including top 3% GM, 1-3% WW, YW and ADG as well as top 2% CW. The Crystal cow family descends from RED Della D109, the foundation female of the highly sought after Della cow family. 223N is carrying a heifer that’s one of the first calves sired by our newest herd sire, LSF Ponderosa 5014N, an own son of the rare and deceased, highly sought after LSF Identity 0295H @ Pieper Red Angus. Her natural maternal brother, VETO Nashville sells as lot 8. Reach out to us to discuss her, the rest of our offering or just talk about Red cows.

Your last opportunity to pick up a VETO female in ‘26 is coming up in less than 2 weeks during the 5th Annual MS Red Angus “Classic” Sale, Raymond, MS on 10/24! We’re offering a bred and open heifer along with a 20 mo old virgin bull. We’ll start our features with lot 43, VETO Lakina 1N45, a Nov ‘25 natural daughter of the 102 MPPA donor, VETO Lakina 210H sired by the $75,000 PIE Herdsman who is one of the leading sons of the $190,000 Complete 7000E. We really appreciate getting updates regarding cattle we’ve offered in the past. The third update coincidentally comes as the catalog for the 5th Annual MS Red Angus “Classic” was just published. Jonathon Pierce, J Bar S Farm, MS recently sent these pictures of VETO Bonnebell 1K11, the high seller of the ‘23 MS “Classic” Sale. Her maternal brother, VETO Jet Train was the “talk of the barn”as a 13 mo old before becoming the high seller of the inaugural MS Red Angus “Classic” Sale. Sired by the rare and valuable, STRA Relentless, 1K11 has already reached donor status at J Bar S just like her dam and prolific MGD, Damar Bonnebell N327. We’ll be introducing our offering to the MS Red Angus “Classic” Sale over the next few weeks.

Another recent update we’ve received is about a female we offered this spring in the SERAA “Grasstime Time.” She’s VETO Lakina 924M, the $35,000 valued record seller of the “Grass Time” Sale. She was selected by Shaf Tal Farms, Rob Brody, MO. 924M is a flush mate to the $50,000 high selling red bull of the ‘26 Ludvigson “All American” Bull Sale, Rob is a co-owner of him as well. A flush mate sister to them, 918M was aspirated as a yearling like their dam. We’re expecting over 15 calves by her this fall by 3 different sires. Their dam, Lakina 912K boasts a 105 MPPA and is the lone Complete 7000E daughter of our signature female, Feddes Lakina D6. A direct quote from Rob that accompanied the picture of 924 is “You have no idea how excited and blessed I feel to have that 924 heifer. I go out and look at her with those Abigraces and Stonys and she is right there with them. She fits in so perfectly with that group. Having one of those Lakinas is a bucket list thing for me.”
We’re excited they selected 924M and are looking forward the a bright future she has ahead of her.

We always enjoy getting updates of how the cattle we’ve offered in the past are doing for their new owners. Mr. Roy Sutterfield, GIG Cattle, SC/MO, recently sent this picture of VETO Lakina 306M’s first calf, VVF GIG Lakina 201P. 306M was the $19,000 high seller of the ‘25 SERAA “Grass Time” Sale. She’s one of several daughters of our signature female, the now deceased, Feddes Lakina D6 that Mr. Roy chose from us to be part of his foundation when he started building his program, GIG Cattle, MO. 306M is one of the first daughters of the $90,000 Berwald Confident 2044 to have been offered. After the sale we brought 306M back to the farm to get her bred, 201P, a daughter of Feddes Eastwood is the result of that. We look forward to hearing how they’re both maturing in the future.

Yesterday picturing more donors and sale cattle in the 111 heat index was a scorcher 🔥🔥 but with the right crew we got most of them knocked out. Our new mayor, Walt Patrick had the dirtiest job but as always didn’t hesitate to get it done. Congrats buddy! Pictures coming soon.

We had a great day yesterday with Rob and Gretchen Brodie, Shaf Tal Farms, MO when they came to pick up VETO Lakina 924M who they selected as a repeat purchase from us in the SERAA “Grasstime Time” Sale in April. A follow up text from Rob last evening; “Got home without an issue. Put 924M in with the donors. She made friends easy with everyone and fits right in. Cody gave his approval with a big smile and a nod.
Gretchen and I can’t thank you enough for a wonderful weekend. We had the best time with you all and can’t wait for the next get together.
My head is swimming with all the cows today and awestruck with the depth of quality you all have from top to bottom. I will now sit down and go through all of them that I can on the Red Angus site and make notes to keep track of what we went over today so I can keep up when we talk.“
It should also be noted that they’re partners of her flush mate brother, First Class 4736M. As always it was great seeing them and we’re looking forward to our next visit! Unfortunately not many pictures were taken because the banter with “Heather” was so great!
