2026 Halloween “Do Not Trick or Treat” Notice

We are releasing the following list in compliance with the Arkansas S*x Offender Registration Act of 1997 (AR Code § 12-12-901). The following list includes the addresses of Level 3 (High Risk) and Level 4 (S*xually Violent) registered s*x offenders that are registered with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

In accordance with AR Code § 5-14-135, level 3 and level 4 offenders are prohibited from participating in Halloween-related activities including distributing candy or any item to a minor as part of a Halloween-related event or wearing a mask or other costume as part of a Halloween-related event if a minor is present. Any information about non-compliance with the s*x offender registry can be emailed to [email protected] or reported by calling the Criminal Investigation Division at 479-444-5720. In the event of an urgent or emergency situation call 911.

THESE OFFENDERS ARE NOT WANTED BY THE POLICE AT THIS TIME. THE NOTIFICATION IS NOT INTENDED TO INCREASE FEAR; RATHER IT IS OUR BELIEF THAT AN INFORMED PUBLIC IS A SAFER PUBLIC.

Male stud, sorrel in color with a faint white star on his head and a partial white bald mark on his nose.

At approximately 11:00 PM on October 25, 2026, the Washington County Sheriff's Office was notified one of their deputies had been involved in a shooting incident in Fayetteville. Following standard procedure for all officer involved shootings, Sergeant John Byrd has been placed on administrative leave pending an internal investigation. The Fayetteville Police Department is conducting a criminal investigation into the shooting. Sergeant Byrd is currently a sergeant in the detention center and has been employed by the Washington County Sheriff's Office since February 15, 2009. Any further information will be released from the Fayetteville Police Department since they are conducting the criminal investigation.

It was Blood Drive Day at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office today, and this evening it’s Fayetteville’s National Night Out at Gulley Park from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm! We’re there cooking and visiting! Come out and see us! 🤠🚓🌭

🚨MISSING ADULT: SARAH WEEDMAN, 44, 5’06, 171, Blond hair, Blue eyes. She has been seen in the Goshen area yesterday around 9:30 A.M. - last seen at the intersection of East Highway 45 and South Highway 303. SARAH was wearing a black dress with the pattern of a black bandanna.

It has been a FULL day around the county for the Sheriff’s Office today…..

First thing this morning we were happy to make Child Information Cards for the kiddos and show them the Fire Safety Trailer at the Wedington Volunteer Fire Dept breakfast…🥓🍳🚒

Then it was off to the Lincoln Apple Festival Parade and Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser for the Senior Center…..🥞

Then we were out to support the Special Olympics by competing in the Airplane Pull, where the WCSO crew were Co-Ed Winners, and the Deputies Morgan (brothers) won the Individual Plane Pull….🛩️✈️

THEN the WCSO cooking crew supported Greenland Schools FFA by cooking for their Catfish Dinner Fundraiser….🎣

Hope everyone has had a great Saturday so far. We LOVE supporting our community! ❤️

‼️MISSING JUVENILE: LEXI PAREJA, 14, black hair, brown eyes, 5’01," 170lbs. She has been seen in the Fayetteville area yesterday around 3:30 P.M. She has also been seen in the Martin Luther King Boulevard and Curtis Street area in Fayetteville. LEXI is possibly wearing a black, one-piece, full body suit.
