FHS Junior Class Attends Wisconsin Education Fair!

The entire Fennimore High School junior class recently attended the Wisconsin Education Fair (WEF) at UW-Platteville!

Students had the opportunity to explore their options after high school and connect with representatives from colleges, universities, technical colleges, trade schools, and the military.

The fair provided a great opportunity for our juniors to ask questions, learn about different programs, and begin planning for their futures.

A great experience for the Class of 2028 as they explore the many opportunities available after graduation!

FES 5th graders did an amazing job on their field trip to Bethel Horizons last week. They stepped up to every challenge! Activities included the zip line, the giant swing, and team-building! They worked together, pushed past their comfort zones, and represented our school well. One of the best parts of the day was hearing students encourage one another, offer support, and work together through each challenge. Their teamwork, effort, and positive attitudes were something to be proud of! A huge thank-you to the wonderful parent chaperones and bus driver for helping make this experience possible!

Alumni Spotlight: Wesley Winch "Star in Agribusiness" Finalist

Wesley Winch, a member of the Fenimore FFA Chapter in Wisconsin and a finalist for the American Star in Agribusiness Award, describes his Supervised Agricultural Experience running Tuft's Hoof Trimming, a business providing hoof care and lameness treatment to local dairy farms. He explains how the venture began during the COVID-19 pandemic and grew from trimming one to two cows a day to 50-100, overcoming challenges like building self-confidence while working with live animals. Wesley also shares his future plans to purchase his own hydraulic chute and continue helping dairy farmers keep their cows healthy.
