It's Fire Prevention Week! 🔥🔋

This year's theme: Safe charging is a superpower.

Phones, laptops, e-bikes, power tools and toys all run on lithium-ion batteries. When they get damaged or charged the wrong way, they can overheat and catch fire.

Use your powers for good:
⚡ Use the charger that came with your device.
⚡ Charge on a hard, flat surface. Not on a bed or couch.
⚡ Unplug when it's fully charged.
⚡ Charge e-bikes and scooters away from doors and exits.
⚡ Stop using a battery that gets hot, swells, smokes or smells strange.

Healthy communities start with small habits we share.

Wash your hands with soap and water before eating or preparing food, after using the bathroom, and after coughing, sneezing, or blowing your nose.

Scrub for at least 20 seconds—clean hands help protect you and the people around you.
