We are a full service police agency, with highly dedicated personnel who are committed to serving the citizens of Altamonte Springs in the most effective and cost-efficient manner, while at the same time, providing the highest level of quality and community-oriented service. 🚗 Drivers are reminded to slow down, stay alert and always yield to pedestrians in marked crosswalks.
🚶‍➡️Pedestrians should use designated crosswalks, obey traffic signals and remain aware of their surroundings.

E-bikes are a fun and convenient way to travel, but riders must follow the rules of the road. 🚲

✅ Obey traffic signs and signals
✅ Ride in the same direction as traffic
✅ Use bike lanes when available
✅ Use lights and reflectors when riding at night
✅ Yield to pedestrians and use caution on sidewalks and shared paths
✅ Wear a properly fitted helmet—Florida law requires one for riders under 16, but everyone is encouraged to wear one
✅ Never ride distracted or under the influence

Under Florida law, an e-bike must have fully operable pedals and an electric motor of less than 750 watts. High-powered electric motorcycles and dirt bikes are not considered e-bikes and may require a driver license, registration and other safety equipment.
