YOU'RE INVITED TO SHARK NIGHT 🦈

Think of it as a night of BIG ideas, passionate teachers, tough questions, and plenty of Shark energy! 🔥

The Nassau Education Foundation’s Shark Grant Competition gives Nassau County School District teachers and educational staff the opportunity to compete for funding for innovative, collaborative projects designed to make a measurable impact on students.

Here’s how it works:

🦈 Teachers pitch their ideas to our panel of community Sharks.
🤝 Projects must be collaborative, involving a Lead Applicant and at least one Partner Applicant.
💡 Projects are designed to promote creativity, critical thinking, and measurable student outcomes.
🏆 Up to 6 grants of up to $10,000 each may be awarded.
💰 That means up to $60,000 in funding for innovative projects in Nassau County schools!

And the best part? You get to watch it happen!

Come out to Mocama on October 22 and hear directly from the teachers who are dreaming up new ways to make an impact for their students. Cheer them on, see what ideas make it in front of the Sharks, and celebrate the incredible educators in our community.

OUR FOURTH AND FINAL SHARK SAID YES! 🦈 We are so excited to welcome Tara Beth Anderson, Hospital President of Baptist Medical Center Nassau, back to the Shark Grant panel! 🦈🔥

And she isn’t just taking a seat at the Shark table; she’s helping make these opportunities possible! Baptist Nassau and Baptist Health System are donating $25,000 to help fund this year’s Shark Grants! 💙🦈

We are incredibly grateful for this investment in our teachers and students and for partners who believe that when educators have the resources to think BIG, amazing things can happen in our classrooms.

Tara Beth, thank you for taking on the Shark seat and helping us celebrate the creativity, collaboration, and BIG ideas coming from Nassau County educators.

And now… the countdown is ON.

Help us celebrate! Tag a teacher you appreciate in the comments and share this post to let an educator know how much their hard work means to you. 👏📚
