Fessenden Fire & Rescue - Fessenden, ND

Today’s Spirit Week theme at school is “Somewhere I’d Rather Be,” and our Junior Firefighters chose to show up in their fire gear!

Out of all the places they could have chosen, they picked the fire department — and that means more to us than they know. We are incredibly honored and proud to see these young firefighters representing our department and showing their passion for the fire service. They show up, they train, they learn, and when the pager goes off, we know we can rely on them to be there and help wherever they’re needed

The future of the fire service is looking bright! 🔥🚒

Keeping our equipment clean, maintained, and ready to respond. After tonight’s meeting, members spent some time washing the trucks and getting everything back in top shape. A clean truck is more than appearance, it’s part of being ready when our community needs us! We are all so thankful to serve you!

CITY OF FESSENDEN!!! This week April 27th through May 1st is North Dakota Severe Weather Awareness Week. All weather sirens within the City of Fessenden will be tested on Friday, May 1st, at 3pm.

Last night, we shut down Vine Ave to conduct hose testing. From checking hose performance and hydrant pressure to keeping our equipment current, everything we do plays a role in our ISO rating—which directly impacts homeowners insurance premiums. Fessenden Fire is currently rated 5 out of 10, and we work diligently to maintain that rating in order to best protect our community and its property.

Thank you everyone that came out and voted today for our mill levy increase. The preliminary results are 98 yes and 88 no.

Please take a moment today between 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM to vote on the proposed mill levy increase for the construction of a new fire hall. An updated facility will help maintain our ISO rating, which can contribute to keeping homeowners insurance premiums lower, and will provide the space and flexibility needed to accommodate more modern, larger fire trucks. Voting will be at Fessenden City Hall. We greatly appreciate the community's support.
