Last chance for late registration! 🏀

Help more Fillmore kids get in the game! Volunteer coaches are needed in EVERY division of Fillmore Youth Basketball. Share your passion for basketball, build players’ confidence, and help young athletes learn teamwork while having fun!

📣 Late player registrations will be considered if enough coaches volunteer. Your involvement could help more kids get on the court!

Players are needed in these divisions:
🏀 Girls: Division 1—10; Division 2—1; Division 3—3; Division 4—3
🏀 Boys: Division 4—8

The City of Fillmore is seeking community members interested in participating in Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training!
CERT provides valuable training to help residents prepare for emergencies, respond to disasters, and make a difference in their community.
If you are interested in participating, please complete this interest form. Once we have gathered sufficient interest, the City will coordinate with the appropriate agencies to schedule training sessions. We will contact interested participants once a training cohort has been scheduled and share additional details.

🚒🍕 Helping keep Fillmore families safe!

For Fire Prevention Month, Fillmore firefighters partnered with Fillmore Domino’s and the National Fire Protection Association on 9 pizza deliveries. Crews checked smoke alarms, installed working alarms in one home, and corrected an improperly installed alarm in another.

Working smoke alarms provide early warning so your family can get outside quickly. Keep yours ready:

✅ Test monthly using the test button.
✅ Replace the entire alarm 10 years after its manufacture date.
✅ Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for batteries and maintenance.
✅ Have alarms in every bedroom, outside sleeping areas, and on every level.

🚒🍕 ¡Ayudando a proteger a las familias de Fillmore!

Durante el Mes de la Prevención de Incendios, los bomberos de Fillmore colaboraron con Domino’s de Fillmore y la Asociación Nacional de Protección contra Incendios en 9 entregas de pizza. Revisaron las alarmas de humo, instalaron alarmas funcionando correctamente en una vivienda y corrigieron una alarma mal instalada en otra.

Las alarmas de humo que funcionan correctamente avisan a tiempo para que su familia pueda salir rápidamente. Mantenga las suyas listas:

✅ Pruébelas cada mes con el botón de prueba.
✅ Reemplace toda la alarma 10 años después de su fecha de fabricación.

Central Avenue will be closed from Main Street to First Street. Kensington and Sespe will also be closed. Alleys and other surrounding streets will remain open to traffic.

Please drive cautiously and follow directions from Citizen’s Patrol and Explorers.

The City of Fillmore has been awarded a grant through the Ventura Regional Fire Safe Council to remove hazardous, flammable brush around the City’s perimeter. The Ventura Regional Fire Safe Council is leading the project, which includes three phases intended to reduce wildfire risk near homes and public infrastructure.
