The Charles H. Presently, we are not doing home tours or events. We will post pictures mainly of the exteriors, gardens and holiday decor. in California.

Bigelow House, in the Queen Anne Style circa1888, listed on the National Register of Historic Places by the United States Department of the Interior. Some interior shots will come in time. Mainly photos of projects we are working on. My personal background has been in association with the antique trade, estate sales and consignment stores for the past 40 years. I would consider myself a generalist working in a little bit of everything from Victorian to Mid Century. I have managed for major retail stores such as I. Magnin, Bullocks Wilshire etc. and large Consignment Stores. I owned my own business for over 16 years, with my largest store being over 25,000 sq ft. One of my many clients included Mrs. Red Skelton which I have worked with over 25 years helping Mrs. Skelton liquidate. Though those days have passed of large stores and I have grown older I still like to get out there and dabble a bit in the antique field. At this time, we are still setting up something for the future since acquiring Bigelow House. We presently do some eBay services which can be consigned and evaluations. We are not a store front. We will do posts for items for sale and will offer shipping on some items and local pick up. This will be a slow process but fun to watch here on Facebook.

Well we are progressing slowly but surely with painting and a few repairs on the front porch. Very thankful that we have had sunny beautiful days to work. We work on it everyday for about 5 hrs a day and it has been 12 days so far. Not sure how much we will get done before winter settles in but I was just reading it is suppose to be another mild winter.

Update on our next project. We have started to paint the house! Here you can see the old colors and now the new. New colors are similar to historical paints used on a home in Heritage Square Museum in Los Angeles. I think they are a good combo with the red brick and the details POP more! Of course we are painting more of the details out this time. The darker colors give more richness and a Victorian Vibe. Hope you love it! As much as we do!

Well the roof project is completed! Took 1 week and cost about $4000.00 total. We saved over $44,000.00 by doing it ourselves! Big shout out to K-T Equipment Rental, Inc. and Beth Diller.

Thought I would post some pictures of the gardens mid summer here. We have had a good amount of rain this year. After a couple years here beginning to know what flowers to plant and where. Zinnias, Dahlias, Moss Rose, Lantana, Ostermums, Maple Petunias and Knock out Roses are doing well. Our Cannas came up pretty good but something was eating them when they first came up. Mitch and his 1st Sunflower Circle...not bad! Of Course Claire has to say Hello too!
