Don't forget, the Open House for Fitchburg's 2050 Comprehensive Plan is coming up Wednesday, October 21 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Hosto Hoci in Fitchburg (2220 Traceway Drive).

The Comprehensive Plan is a guide for the City to facilitate future growth and development over the next 20 years. The Open House will be a relaxed, feedback-driven opportunity for residents to share their thoughts on the future of Fitchburg's development. There will be kid-friendly activities and Spanish interpreters available for the evening.

Fitchburg's Comprehensive Plan 2050 is in the early stages of development, and now is the time to stay informed and get involved! Check out this overview from our Community Development Planner to learn about what the plan is and how you can provide feedback.

We have an open house coming up Wednesday, October 21 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Hosto Hoci in Fitchburg (2220 Traceway Drive). Come out for this free event! There will be kid-friendly activities and Spanish interpreters available for the evening.

Edgewood University has broken ground on their new Athletics and Wellness Campus. A ceremony was held on October 15, 2026. This 40-acre site will not just be home to future athletic training facilities, but also a 12-acre wetlands that Edgewood plans to restore for educational and recreation opportunities. The site is located south of Lacy Road, west of South Seminole Highway.
