Brother Sheriff Helmig RIP. Long time member and supporter of the FOP. We are all saddened and keep your family in our prayers.

Sheriff Les K. Hill announces that former Boone County Sheriff Michael A. Helmig has passed away.

Cops and Kids 2025 is quickly approaching, and we are still seeking donations to support this meaningful event. All contributions directly benefit children and families in need, helping ensure they experience a joyful Christmas.

He may look a bit familiar — that’s because Deputy Blocky was designed to resemble a classic childhood favorite (the Lego® man) as he takes on his newest occupation: a proud deputy with the Boone County Sheriff’s Office. *note: The Deputy Blocky coins are not shaped like traditional coins but as the character himself!

Deputy Blocky is the face of our new annual challenge coin fundraiser series, created to support programs that benefit children right here in Boone County.

Each year, we plan to release a new version of Deputy Blocky. For 2025, our first-ever coin features him in his official Class A uniform, complete with polished details and a whole lot of heart.

This year, proceeds from every coin sold will go directly to KY FOP Lodge 46’s Shop with a Cop, helping local kids have a brighter holiday season.
