🚒🔥 Fire Safety at Florence Elementary School! 🔥

The Florence Fire Department had a great time visiting the students at Florence Elementary School to talk about the importance of fire safety! 🧑‍🚒

Teaching fire safety at a young age helps our kids learn how to stay safe, recognize potential dangers, and know what to do in an emergency. From learning about smoke alarms and escape plans to the importance of GET LOW & GO, these lessons can make a lifesaving difference!

A big thank you to the staff and students at Florence Elementary for welcoming us! We love having the opportunity to connect with our community and help keep our children safe.

Remember: Fire safety starts with YOU! 🏠🔥

Good News! CTH C is Open

The Florence County Highway Department is pleased to announce that CTH C is now open to traffic, a couple of days ahead of schedule.

Please be aware that there is still loose gravel on the roadway in the project area, and conditions will remain that way for approximately two weeks until the final paving is completed.

For everyone's safety, the speed limit through the area has been reduced to 25 MPH. Please slow down and use extra caution when traveling through the zone.

Thank you for your patience during this project.

🚒❤️ National Volunteer Firefighter Appreciation Day ❤️🚒
Today is about recognizing the men and women who answer the call—not because it’s their full-time job, but because they care deeply about their community and the people in it.
To all of our volunteers: THANK YOU.
