🚧Pinal County Development Services employees visited their latest major completed project, the Ralston Road Bridge at the Vekol Wash.

🦺These onsite presentations give Pinal County office staff a chance to go in the field and see the results of their work.

✅With a scheduled completion date of July 2026, the bridge opened in April, three months ahead of schedule and under budget.

Additional showers and storms are expected this morning through this afternoon with isolated severe storms. Storms will remain capable of producing large hail, damaging winds, and a low chance for a tornado. Best severe potential will be east of Phoenix. Showers and storms will eventually clear west to east this afternoon through this evening as dry air works in from the west.

🌩️Severe weather is possible in Pinal County over the next couple of days. Sandbags are still available at all of our County Public Works Maintenance Yards.

⚠Sandbags are free, however no one will be on site to fill or load sandbags. Limit 25 bags per household.

Wednesday through Thursday portions of Southern Arizona are in Slight Risk for severe weather. Expected hazards are strong to severe winds (50-60+ mph), localized flash flooding, and large hail (1-2"+).

The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has placed portions of the area in a Slight to Enhanced risk for severe weather Wednesday. The primary threats will be large hail and damaging winds, but an isolated tornado or two can't be ruled out.

Be sure to stay weather aware and have multiple ways to receive warnings!

🚨Next Week- Hunt Highway Widening

🚧On Oct. 26, work will begin on the widening of Hunt Highway between Franklin Road and Oasis Lane within Florence Town limits.

🚩No hard closures are planned as part of this construction, however lane shifts and flagger operations will be necessary. Work is scheduled to be completed in June of 2027.

🚦Access to the schools and hospital will remain the same.

⚠️Please slow down and use caution in work zone. Expect delays and allow extra time for commute. To avoid construction area, use Arizona Farms to either N. Felix Rd. or SR 79 as alternate route.
