Another strong one joins the ranks.
We swore in Officer Donnie Burnias—bringing nearly 20 years of experience to the Florence Police Department. Experience matters. It sharpens instincts, builds trust, and makes a difference when it counts.

Fifteen years in this profession isn’t just a milestone—it’s a statement.
Commander Phillip Riccomini has spent the last 15 years showing up when it matters most. Long shifts, tough calls, moments that don’t make headlines but stay with you forever. This job asks a lot—missed time with family, carrying the weight of other people’s worst days, and making decisions when there’s no room for error.
And through it all, he’s stayed steady.
That’s what 15 years really means.
It means sacrifice. It means resilience. It means earning it—day after day.
We’re proud to stand beside you and grateful for everything you’ve given to this department and this town. Town of Florence (Government)

Nothing says community like Opening Day in Florence. I had the privilege of throwing out the first pitch to kick off Little League Baseball season — and even had to go head-to-head with Wyatt, our local pitching phenom. I’m not saying I felt the heat… but I definitely felt the heat. ⚾️
It’s moments like this that make our town special. There’s no better game than baseball to bring Florence together on a weekend like this. Play ball. Florence Arizona Little League
