๐๐ 3 years at WCESD4 for AEMT Mike Peรฑa
Mikey brings unique qualities to our team, ๐ย
If youโve worked a shift with Mikey, chances are youโve been roasted at least once, heard a questionable joke, or found yourself wondering, โDid he really just say that?โ ๐
But behind all that sarcasm is someone who genuinely cares about his crew, his patients, and the work we do.
We asked Mikey a few questions. And surprisingly, we got some answers we can actually share with the public. ๐๐
๐ค 1. If your coworkers could mute you for one hour every shift, when would they use it?
๐ฌ Mikey: โEither an hour at the start, an hour in the middle, or an hour at the end. I have stories for all three, so choose wisely.โ
๐ 2. Youโve been roasting your coworkers for three years. Whoโs hit you with the best comeback?
๐ฌ Mikey: โOur fleet mechanic told me, โYou complain about maintenance but you have to love it because you keep coming back.โ Heโs right!โ
๐ 3. Whatโs your most controversial EMS opinion?
๐ฌ Mikey: โA happy shift and a happy crew means good patient care. An ambulance is just a box with some supplies with it. The crew that staffs it is what makes a service great and a community proud.โ
๐ From his partner Zach: Whatโs the most thoughtful thing youโve seen him do for someone?
๐ฌโ he always thinks of his teammates, heโs gone out of his way to get personal gifts for everyone.โ
Heโs really the dept instigator with a secret heart of gold ๐๐คซ
Thank you for the laughs, the dedication, and for keeping everyone on their toes.
We wouldnโt trade you for anythingโฆ although weโre sure a few coworkers would negotiate for a mute button sometimes ๐ค๐
