Last night, during the Florissant City Council meeting, Chief Tim Fagan, joined by his executive command staff, Mayor Tim Lowery, and members of the Florissant City Council, proudly recognized and commended K9 Raven and her handler, Officer Pagano, as Raven officially retires from service.
Throughout their partnership, Raven and Officer Pagano responded to 56 deployments, assisting with narcotics detection, patrol operations, and evidence searches. Their work helped locate nine individuals and contributed to investigations resulting in 21 arrests.
Raven also played an important role in numerous narcotics investigations, including significant seizures of fentanyl and methamphetamine. Her skills extended beyond Florissant, providing K9 support during federal operations with the Drug Enforcement Administration and assisting law enforcement agencies throughout St. Louis County.
Throughout her career, Raven demonstrated exceptional dedication, reliability, and service. Her contributions made a lasting impact on our department, our law enforcement partners, and the community we serve.
We also want to recognize Officer Pagano for his dedication, professionalism, and commitment throughout their partnership. The success of a police K9 team is built on trust, training, and teamwork, and their work together is something we are proud of.
The Florissant Police Department is grateful for Raven's years of faithful service and the contributions Raven and Officer Pagano have made to our community.
Please join us in congratulating K9 Raven and Officer Pagano on a job well done and wishing Raven a happy retirement!
