Effective immediately, the Floyd County countywide burn ban has been lifted.

Residents are reminded to continue using caution with any outdoor burning. Conditions can change quickly, and all burning should be done safely and responsibly.

Please also remember that any outdoor burning must still comply with all applicable state laws, local ordinances, and safety requirements.

Emergencies can happen at anytime at any age. In conjunction with Floyd County Emergency Management, we are proud to be able to provide an AED and Bleeding Control Kit to Floyd County Parks and Recreation. These kits are mounted outside of the Rec Department Building for public access.

Our goal is for everyone to feel safe while visiting the Recreation Park in addition to supporting youth sports and community wellness. Look for community CPR and Stop the Bleed courses available in the future.
