🍂 DECORATE FOR FALL—SAFELY
Fall decorations can make a home feel warm and welcoming, but many seasonal materials can catch fire easily.
🔋 Use battery-operated flameless candles or glow sticks whenever possible—especially inside pumpkins and other decorations.
🔥 Keep cornstalks, dried flowers, paper decorations, and anything else that can burn away from candles, heaters, light bulbs, fireplaces, and other heat sources.
🕯️ If you use a real candle, place it in a stable holder at least 12 inches from anything that can burn. Blow it out before leaving the room or going to bed.
🚪 Keep doors, hallways, stairs, and other escape routes clear of decorations.
🚨 Make sure your smoke alarms are working.
Enjoy the colors and traditions of fall while helping keep homes throughout Lafayette and Greenville Townships fire-safe.
