📍 Quick Civic Lesson: Your ZIP Code Is Not Necessarily Your Congressional District

Do you recognize your ZIP code?

The following Prince George’s County ZIP codes include residents of Maryland’s Fifth Congressional District:

20607, 20608, 20613, 20623, 20715, 20716, 20720, 20721, 20735, 20743, 20744, 20746, 20747, 20748, 20762, 20769, 20772 and 20774.

Here is the important part: ZIP codes deliver mail, but congressional districts determine representation. Those boundaries do not always match. Two neighbors can share a ZIP code, shop at the same grocery store and still vote in different congressional races.

Before declaring, “I already know my district,” verify your complete home address at:

Congressional districts and ZIP codes are like distant cousins at the family reunion. They may share a name and a table but they do not always live in the same house.

Maryland’s Fifth Congressional District includes parts of Prince George’s County but several ZIP codes are divided between congressional districts. That means two neighbors can share a ZIP code, shop at the same grocery store and still vote in different congressional races.

Prince George’s County ZIP codes that include Fifth District residents are:

20607, 20608, 20613, 20623, 20715, 20716, 20720, 20721, 20735, 20743, 20744, 20746, 20747, 20748, 20762, 20769, 20772 and 20774

These ZIP codes cover communities including Accokeek, Aquasco, Brandywine, Bowie, Clinton, Forestville, Glenn Dale, Joint Base Andrews, Upper Marlboro, Kettering, Mitchellville, Marlton, Rosaryville and Westphalia

This special community event offers residents an opportunity to meet the Democratic Nominee for the Fifth Congressionsl district, Hon. Adrian Boafo, to hear his vision for Maryland’s Fifth Congressional District and engage in a meaningful conversation about the future of our communities.

A lifelong Marylander and proud son of Prince George’s County, Hon. Adrian Boafo has served as Bowie Mayor Pro Tem and as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates. He will now bring a new generation of leadership to Congress.

The event will be held at MaryLou’s, a Black woman-owned small business and community favorite known for giving back, serving delicious cuisine and crafting signature designer drinks.
Come connect with neighbors, community leaders and fellow residents from across the Fifth District.
