🐾 Another great Together Tuesday at FHJH!

We started the morning with a warm Bulldog welcome from members of the Louisiana Christian University football team and local pastors who greeted our students as they arrived. Thank you for helping us start the day with such positive energy!

During our school-wide assembly, we had plenty to celebrate! We recognized our basketball teams and cheer squad, celebrated our Quarter 1 Top Readers, introduced our November House Heroes, and honored our Teacher of the Year, New Teacher of the Year, and Support Person of the Year.

Of course, no Together Tuesday would be complete without a little friendly House competition! Students wrapped up the assembly with a fun House game and another chance to earn those all-important House points.

We’re grateful for the community members who continue to show up for our Bulldogs and help make Together Tuesday something our students look forward to each month!

🔥 Fidus brought the heat!

Our Fidus House students celebrated with a fun after-school bonfire-themed party filled with good food, games, laughs, and time together as a House family.

It was a great way to reward our students, build community, and celebrate the spirit of Responsibility that defines Fidus. ❤️

🪨 Learning the rock cycle by living it!

Ms. Fulks’ 8th grade science students took their learning outside for a hands-on rock cycle activity. Students moved through different stations by rolling a die, with each roll determining what process happened next and where they traveled in the cycle.

Along the way, they tracked their journey and saw firsthand that the rock cycle doesn’t always follow one simple path. It was a fun way to turn science vocabulary and processes into something students could experience for themselves!

🔥 Fire safety with a little fun mixed in!

Our Pre-K through 4th grade students enjoyed our annual Fire Prevention Safety Skit. Through plenty of laughs and some memorable demonstrations, students learned important lessons about fire prevention and what to do in an emergency.

A special thank you to Mr. Terry Stokes, Mrs. Charlene Stokes, and the Forest Hill Fire Department for continuing this annual tradition and helping teach our Bulldogs how to stay safe!

🚌National School Bus Safety Week! 🚌

This week, October 19–23, we recognize National School Bus Safety Week! This is an important reminder that keeping our students safe on their way to and from school is everyone’s responsibility.

🚦 Whether you’re driving through a school zone or sharing the road with a school bus, remember to slow down, stay alert, and always stop when a bus has its red lights flashing. A few extra seconds of patience can make all the difference!

💚 We also want to give a special THANK YOU to our incredible FHJH bus drivers! Every day, they take on the important responsibility of safely transporting our Bulldogs to and from school. Their dedication, patience, and commitment to our students do not go unnoticed.

🚌 To all our bus drivers, thank you for the miles you drive, the early mornings, and the care you show our students each day. We appreciate you!

🐾 Let’s all do our part to keep our Bulldogs safe!
