Congratulations to our 5th and 6th grade sharks who earned perfect attendance for August & September. These students did not miss any days of school and were not tardy to any classes. Job well done.

Every single day, before the first bell rings and long after the hallways empty, our custodial staff works tirelessly behind the scenes to keep Smith Intermediate safe, clean, and welcoming.

From keeping our classrooms sparkling and handling endless daily spills to making sure our facility runs smoothly in all seasons, your hard work does not go unnoticed. You don't just maintain our school—you build a clean, healthy, and supportive environment where our students can learn and our teachers can thrive.

We are incredibly lucky to have the best custodial crew around. Next time you see a member of our custodial team in the halls, please take a moment to say a big THANK YOU!

⛓ How long can ONE piece of paper get? ✂

Students in Mrs. Person’s STEM class put their creativity and problem-solving skills to the test with the Paper Chain Challenge! Using just one piece of paper, scissors, and glue, students competed to create the longest paper chain possible.

Judging by these results, they understood the assignment! 👏🦈

🎶 What an incredible night! On Thursday, our Smith Intermediate 6th Grade Choir hosted their very first performance of the year. 🎤✨

Our talented students gave families a behind-the-scenes look at how they warm up, shared the keys to being a successful performer, and sang a couple of crowd-pleasing songs. We even had our amazing family and friends join in on the fun!

Thank you to everyone who came out to support our young musicians and to Choir Director, Mrs. Davis, and our accompanist, Mrs. Jarrett.

A massive THANK YOU to our incredible sponsor, H-E-B Forney TX

To celebrate National Cookie Day and International Coffee Day, our teachers were treated to warm coffee and delicious cookies, courtesy of Forney H-E-B.

Our amazing partners did this to show appreciation for our teachers' hard work, dedication, and heart every single day. We are so grateful for your continued support of our staff and school community!

🎶 One Month of Making Music! 🎷🎺
About a month ago, our 6th grade band families gathered to meet the directors and learn what band at Smith is all about. Since then, our beginning musicians have gotten their instruments and started making some music of their own! 💙🦈

Band families, how’s it going at your house? Are we hearing beautiful music yet…or are we still in the very enthusiastic sound effects stage? 😂🎶

We can’t wait to hear how much our Sharks grow this year!
